LaTina Silva Silvaggi of Cote D’Azure captured the title in the Superbikes World Championship after a thrilling final session of the event at the Nurburgring on Sunday.
The Italian rider, who was born in Italy, won the event by a margin of just 2:14.85 seconds over a field of 19 riders, including three-time world champion Cote Danilo Dall’Antona, who also qualified for the final.
The final was a classic race, as it had to be in a race of the most powerful and high-speed machines on the circuit.
After the race, which was won by the Italian in 2:02.45, Silva Silvestri said: ‘I am very happy with this result.
I could not have asked for anything more than this moment.’
LaTino Silvestria Silvaglio Silvani, who is the grandson of LaTini, was also the winner of the race in 1:06.11 and 1:07.11.
